Charles (Chuck) Irwin Krogman, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 25th, 2024. Born on November 10th, 1953, in Lincoln, Nebraska to Walter ‘Dutch’ and Eudice Krogman.
Chuck grew up in Lincoln and graduated from Lincoln East High School in 1972. He then attended UNL and transferred to SCC Milford to be in the Diesel Mechanic program. He worked at Hamilton International before joining the family business and became part owner of Krogman Tile with his brother. Chuck met the love of his life, Lori and were married in 1979. They moved to Panama a year later and raised their 2 kids. He became a volunteer for the Firth Rural Fire Department and served on the department for 44 years, 30 of those years as Fire Chief. He loved the small town living and was often found working at the fire station. He loved a good game of cribbage, camping, boating with the grandkids, shooting trap with friends, and Husker volleyball. After retiring from Krogman Tile, Chuck & Lori became Campground Hosts and have been at different campgrounds throughout the last 5 summers. He would often help the Nebraska Game & Parks with different jobs while he was camping.
In his free time you would find him down at the fire station or tinkering with his 1969 Dodge Charger. He is very proud of his Charger, he found a run down beat up Charger and tore it all apart and rebuilt it to match his first car. He would always try to sneak in the packages that came in the mail for his Charger.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Lori (Barber) Krogman, and their children: Jessica (Travis) Hillman and Brian Krogman. He was a proud and loving grandfather to four grandchildren: Collin, Karli, Kaci & Kati Hillman. He is also survived by his siblings Doug (Sue) Krogman and Cheri Erickson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Eudice Krogman, In-Laws Allen Sr. & Doris Barber. https://aspenaftercare.com/obituary/charles-irwin-krogman/
