Jon Kreimer

Jon Robert Kreimer, a man of intelligence, diverse talents, and great love for the people in his life, died April 5, 2016, age 62. Jon joined the family business, Family Drug Store, at age five. As a retail entrepreneur, with his elusive style, he created personal relationships, building a dedicated staff and endeared himself to customers. His family, friends, and over the last two years, his caregivers valued his sly wit.

Jon loved science and studied microbiology in college. His love of photography and filmmaking led him to explore the creative potential of computer imaging. He was curious about what made things work and was an early adapter of new technology. He loved Blackjack and music, fireworks and animals. Captain Beefheart, Martin Mull, Little Feat, Frank Zappa and Allman Brothers top the list of his favorite bands. A prankster, with a humor deep and wide, Jon earned his nickname, Cone, as a teen when he drove the "get away" car, during a family heist of feed corn. As the car pulled away from the cornfield, they noticed the owner's name was BM Cone.

Jon is son of Eldon Robert Kreimer and Barbara Robertson Kreimer, both deceased. His brother is Jay Ben Kreimer of Lincoln, his beloved daughter, Lauren of Omaha and beloved son, Riley, of Denver survive him; as well as Lori Kreimer, the mother of his children; sister-in-law ,Wendy Weiss; niece, Lee Kreimer; nephew, Ben Kreimer; cousins, in Mexico City, California, Oregon, Utah and Lincoln.
